Cheryl Zickler is Of Counsel in the firm’s Miami office and has focused on appellate practice for over fifteen years. She has extensive experience in a wide variety of appellate matters including both civil litigation and criminal defense. Previously, she practiced commercial litigation in both Florida State and Federal Courts.

During law school, Ms. Zickler was the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. She holds a B.S. degree in finance from Syracuse University, and spent several years working for financial institutions including Citibank and Templeton Investment Counsel, Inc. Ms. Zickler also lends her expertise to causes relating to children's rights. She was an active Guardian ad Litem for abused and abandoned children in Broward County for over 16 years. She has also donated hundreds of hours as counsel for disadvantaged youth charged in adult courts throughout the State of Florida. Ms. Zickler served as an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center from 1994 to 2000, where she taught dependency law and trained law students for the Guardian Ad Litem program.
