Ignacio E. Arango
Ignacio E. Arango is a partner with the firm. He was born in Havana, Cuba and emigrated to the United States. He was raised and resided in Falls Church, Virginia for over 20 years. Ignacio attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management. After college, Ignacio was a Corporate Loan Officer with a publicly-held savings bank in Fairfax, Virginia, having $900 million in assets. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami in Coral Gables and was admitted to practice law in Florida in 1990.
During the initial part of his legal career, Ignacio’s practice involved business litigation and transaction matters. In 2001, he shifted his primary practice to transactions representing clients in matters involving real estate secured loans, asset-based loans, commercial and residential real property transactions, including leases and purchases, purchases and sales of businesses and related interests, construction lien claims and title insurance matters. Ignacio concentrates his practice in representing banks, institutional lenders and high net worth clients in commercial real estate secured loans and asset-based loans and in residential purchase and sales.
Ignacio is a title insurance agent with Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and Chicago Title Insurance Company. Over the years he has actively participated in a number of charitable organizations and held a leadership role in the Coral Gables Bar Association, where he served on the Board of Directors from 1993 to 2003. Ignacio was a frequent lecturer for Lorman Education Services in the area of Commercial Lending and Loan Transactions in Florida from 2001 to 2010. He has been involved for several years with the Florida Bar’s Scope Program as a mentor to young attorneys. From 2007 to 2010, Mr. Arango served as a Member of Grievance Committee “K”, serving the Eleventh Judicial Circuit on behalf of the Florida Bar Association. He has achieved an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell with is the highest rating for legal ability and standard of professional conduct.
